Owing to digitalization, we have discovered a completely new dimension and beauty of our work, as well as of your smile. In everyday work we use the intraoral scanner Trios 3Shape, which is presently the best scanner in the world by all standards. By scanning the teeth prepared for crown and bridge placement, we achieve incredible precision. At the same time, this means exceptional comfort for patients (no impressions), shorter period spent in the dental chair, fewer visits and- as the final result- a perfect smile.

1.MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

Patients make the first appointment to examine the damaged/ broken teeth.

2. THE FIRST EXAMINATION

Patients come for examination; we examine their teeth, establish a diagnosis and propose the further course of treatment.

3.TOOTH PREPARATION FOR ZIRCONIA CROWNS

We prepare teeth for zirconia crowns through tooth preparation, i.e. removal of 0.5- 1mm of tooth enamel from all tooth surfaces.

4. TEETH SCANNING

The prepared teeth are scanned by intraoral scanner. This scanner replaces the procedure of taking impressions by standard techniques and applying impression materials and dental spoons, which are extremely unpleasant according to patients. The scanning procedure is very fast, completely harmless and absolutely precise! The scanner generates a 3D image of your teeth; this is where our work enters the digital dimension.

5. DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN

We like the course of our work to be predictable. This is why we made our workflow completely digital and hence - totally predictable. How do we achieve that? - By making a thorough analysis of the photographs of your teeth and smile during your first visit. We also make a video recording, clearly showing the shape and length of teeth suitable for you. After the photo and video session, we apply the Digital Smile Design, where we obtain very precise information on what kind of teeth are needed for your perfect smile.

6. VIRTUAL DESIGN OF ZIRCONIA CROWNS

All the information obtained is sent to our technicians, who make the virtual design of zirconia crowns. Once they finish designing, they send us a virtual presentation which we check in all three dimensions. Sometimes we ask our technicians to send us a prototype first- a crown made of plastic.

7. PROTOTYPE AND CORRECTIONS

When the crown prototype is placed in the patient’s mouth, the patient can see what the final product is going to look like and whether any corrections are necessary. The corrected prototype is scanned in the patient’s mouth and sent back to the laboratory. The prototype also helps us check the precision of the crown and how it fits over the prepared teeth. Having compared the virtual design image and the prototype scan, the technician instantly knows what corrections are needed for the final zirconia crown.

8. MAKING ZIRCONIA CROWNS

The last step is making a zirconia crown; the information obtained is fed into the dental milling machine by the technician. We only use the premium brands of zirconia blocks. Our zirconia crowns are mainly made of ceramic pieces, without adding any ceramic layers, as they are a common cause of crown fractures and later complications.
